Bed & Breakfast
The guest accommodation is situated in one of the newest
parts of the farmhouse (about 1570) and comprises a double room with a private
bathroom. A pair of the original cruck beams are exposed in the bedroom
- a rare structure in north-east England. An adjacent twin room is also
available making the accommodation suitable for use by a party of up to
four guests. Both bedrooms are equipped with tea/coffee making
facilities and colour television.
Wifi is available in guest areas on request.

A sheltered, south-facing patio and garden with summer-house lie immediately
outside and are freely available for the use of our guests. Ample off-road
parking for several cars is provided within the farmyard, secure garaging for
cycles or motorcycles by arrangement.
The Bishopley Breakfast is a memorable occasion!
It is served at the time of your choosing in the guests’ lounge/breakfast
room, kept cosy by its original inglenook fireplace, now fitted with a
woodburning stove. Musical accompaniment from the 1958 jukebox is entirely
The fayre is typically a starter of fruit juice, choice of cereals, fresh fruit
salad, yoghurt, etc. followed by the main course of a substantial cooked
breakfast. Completing the meal with toast and marmalade or preserves and tea or
coffee will set you up for the day's activity, whether it be a strenuous walk or
a more leisurely drive. We will however always vary the breakfast ingredients to
suit individual tastes and dietary requirements.
